Antigua and the nearby sister island of Barbuda are a part of the eastern arc of the Leeward Islands known as the Lesser Antilles. At 14 miles long and 11 miles wide, Antigua is the largest of the English-speaking Leeward Islands.

Like most islands in the Caribbean, it benefits from a warm climate moderated by steady trade winds. This makes the region one of the world’s most desirable sailing destinations along with its complex coastline, an abundance of safe harbors and the nearly unbroken protective coral reef surrounding the island. There are said to be 365 distinct beaches on Antigua, one for every day of the year – so there’s plenty to see when you’re sailing in Antigua.

With its roots in ancient civilization, Belize is famous for having the world’s second-longest unbroken barrier reef, an extensive cave network, historic Mayan ruins and a diverse underwater ecosystem.

Sail Belize and enjoy its calm waters and favorable trade winds. The country’s 300km-long Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System is UNESCO World Heritage protected and a renowned snorkeling and scuba destination.

With beautiful islands, a lively party atmosphere and genuine Caribbean welcome from locals, these islands are popular for good reason.

A BVI boat charter allows you to enjoy what is arguably one of the best sailing destinations in the world. With near-constant gentle trade winds, easy line-of-sight navigation and short leg voyages between islands, it is a favorite of novice and seasoned sailors alike. With year-round balmy temperatures, lush green hillsides and dazzling white sandy beaches, the BVI is a near-perfect vacation destination.

Cuba is the westernmost island of the Greater Antilles, located just 90 miles from Key West, Florida, around an hour of flying time.

If island hopping is your dream vacation, then sailing around Cuba is perfect as the archipelago has 4,000 cays and islets. Your backdrop includes agricultural valleys with tobacco fields, colorful city architecture and coral atolls. Cuba’s atolls boast white stretches of sand, clear water for snorkeling and a bounty of marine life living among healthy reefs. On land, monkeys and iguanas are waiting to greet you.

The nation of Grenada is a chain of several islands including Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. The country gets its nickname as the Spice Isle because it is a leading producer of cinnamon, cloves, ginger, mace, allspice and nutmeg.

Beautiful beaches make up the coastline, including the 1.9 mile-long Grand Anse Beach in St. George Paris, which frequently appears in Top 10 lists of the world’s greatest beaches. The marine life is spectacular here and you’ll spot turtles, rays, dolphins and a spectrum of tropical fish on a Grenada yacht charter.

Guadeloupe is part of the Leeward Islands and stands out because of its butterfly shape. The eastern wing, Grand-Terre, features Pointe-à-Pitre, the island’s biggest city and center of tourism. The western wing, called Basse-Terre, is less developed and dominated by an impressive national park. A narrow channel called the Salt River separates the two halves of the island.

Nearby are Marie Galante, which offers fantastic snorkeling, and the Gosier islet and its large coral reef – make sure you visit both on your Guadeloupe yacht ccharter. For anchorages, head to Les Saintes and take a stroll around Fort Napoleon on Terre-de-Haut. Don’t leave before visiting Jacques Cousteau’s Underwater Reserve in the waters close to Pigeon Island for an abundance of colorful coral forests and marine life. This underwater world is considered one of the best dive sites you can experience.

The capital, Fort-de-France, celebrates every aspect of French culture with style and panache, from the excellence of its cuisine to the chic sophistication of its fine resorts and hotels. Shops, art galleries, theatres and museums all pay homage to its French heritage, and you can watch boules being played in the squares while people sit and chat outside cafés.

Island hop between Petite Anse d’Arlet, the bay of Fort de France and St. Pierre, or head to Bequia, St. Lucia’s Rodney Bay and Soufrière’s waterfalls, hot springs and volcano. If you are staying longer, sail to Petit Nevis, Mustique, Mayreau, the Tobago Cays, and Union, the capital of the Grenadines.

St. Martin is second only to the British Virgin Islands as our most popular sailing area in the Caribbean. Sailing St. Martin allows you to explore some of the beautiful islands in the eastern Caribbean, including mainland St. Martin, Anguilla and St. Barts. Divers and snorkelers can enjoy some of the most spectacular unspoiled reefs in the world.

St. Martin is located about 150 miles north of Guadeloupe and is part of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean Sea. It is the smallest landmass in the world shared by two independent countries, in this case, France and the Netherlands.

Sailing the Virgin Islands archipelago from our base in St. Thomas offers you the chance to experience one of the world’s most wonderful cruising grounds and explore the US Virgin Islands.

The tropical weather with year-round warm temperatures between 75ºF and 82ºF is perfect for a boat charter in St. Thomas.
