The Sibenik Riviera is one of the true miracles of Northern Dalmatian coast, not only because of the national parks, cultural and historical monuments, but due to the large number of small islands. More people live in the area and the administration center, political and cultural activities of this region is in Sibenik. Kornati, which is the most famous group of small islands in Croatia, all of them well known for their strange shapes, is situated in near Sibenik.

The 2 national parks, Krka and Kornati, are most enjoyable when visited with a yacht, that’s why boat charters are so popular in Croatia. Primoste, the picturesque small town nearby is located right upon a tiny hill-island called “Suha Punta” which in the local language means “a long lasting period of dry weather”. Primoste, is connected to the shore with a bridge built 500 years ago, by its first inhabitants, so they could easier walk to their fields on the opposite side and facilitate all agricultural works.

From a yacht charter perspective, we could say there are two parts in the sailing paradise zone between Zadar and Split.
It includes some very nice villages and towns such as Primosten, Rogoznica, Seget, Trogir, Split and almost all these places host smaller or bigger marinas and yacht charter companies.
Worth sailing to Hvar island for its nightlife, restaurants and beautiful inlets, coves and reefs to explore within calm waters and light to moderate winds. Same to Milna’s picturesque old village atop the hill on Brac island, or to Corcula, or to Vis Island, or to Solta island and all its little fjords of its south coast.

Before checking into your yacht charter in one of the marinas in or near Split, it can be a good idea to take some time to wander around Diocletian’s Palace in Split, and also get a coffee on the palm tree-lined Riva where the boardwalk gives splendid views of the sea and the nearby marina.

Kornati is the northern part of the Zadar-to-Split greater sailing region famous for its National parks. Kornati area provides a wide selection of sailing yacht charters out of Zadar, Sukosan, Biograd na Moru, Murter, Vodice, Sibenik and the surroundings.
Kornati islands are a real chance to forget about mobile phones and wi-fi connections for those that want to really get off the grid. Spectacular landscapes, fantastic marine life and some 140 non-inhabited islands in the Kornati Marine national parks provide lots of things to see and explore during a sailing holiday. Also, near Sibenik, sailing up the river and anchoring very close to the waterfalls at Krka national park is another great experience not to be missed.

The ancient walls in Dubrovnik attract thousands of tourists while the view of the walls from a sailing boat passing by is an unforgettable experience.
There are many beaches, bays and coves around Dubrovnik, far more than just a busy and noisy beach bar and many people select this part of Croatia to enjoy a bareboat or crewed sailing yacht charter.

Maestral winds make Dubrovnik a favorable sailing area with small distances between the islands. Yacht charter is a pleasure in this side of the Dalmatian coast and islands with their rich history, stunning nature and ideal dry and warm weather conditions. Mljet National Park and the Lastovo Nature Park are just two of the highlights here.

Istria peninsula is a very popular sailing ground offering an easy hop between Krk island and the Brijuni National Park and Cres and Lošinj islands more to the south. Can also sail to Pag island or to Rab island to overnight on anchor in one of the many secluded coves into the Kvarner Gulf.  Blue waters, lush green countryside and picturesque fishing harbors coupled with historical sights and majestic mountain ranges provide the perfect backdrop for an unprecedented sailing holiday

The distance between some of the islands in the Kvarner Gulf can be longer with some pretty decent winds and many experienced sailors take the longer crossings for some serious sailing, while beginners and families call for easier routes at the wind-protected side in the area.
